Terms and Conditions, Learn to Sail Texas

Deposit and Payment

A deposit of 50% of the course fee is required to secure the booking of a sailing course. The balance is due 30 days prior to the course start date. Reservations made within 30 days of the course date require full payment. Payment is accepted by VISA, MasterCard, American Express, (thru Google or POS), cashier's check, money order, wire transfer or any other mutually agreed upon form of payment. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a reservation you have made with us, the deposit and course fees are non-refundable and cannot be applied to another course or date, except:

If cancellation occurs at least 30 days prior to the scheduled class departure, a cancellation fee of $100.00 per person will be charged and the balance of your deposit refunded.
Private Schools are subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the full course price.

Full refunds will be made if Learn to Sail Texas cancels a course. Learn to Sail Texas may cancel any course at any time prior to departure for any reason including, but not limited to, weather or an insufficient number of participants to operate the program. Learn to Sail Texas will make every effort to follow any published itinerary, but variances may occur due to factors beyond our control. If Learn to Sail Texas cancels a course we will make every effort to re-schedule your class, but our liability is limited to a full refund of payment rendered.

Refunds and Adjustments

Should you need to leave the course before its completion, for any reason, no refunds or adjustments can be made for any unused portion of the course.

Travel Insurance

If cancellation occurs within 30 days of the departure date no refunds will be issued. For this reason, the purchase of travel insurance, which covers cancellation due to medical reasons, default and/or airline strike, weather, etc. (please see policy for details), is strongly recommended. If you choose to not purchase travel insurance, you are assuming any financial loss associated with your travel arrangements.

Certification of Health

Student certifies that he or she does not have any condition or disability that would create a hazard or hardship for other persons participating in the program and the student understands that health care standards, facilities and services at sea may be different or inadequate for treatment of certain health conditions. Learn to Sail Texas makes no representations or warranties and disclaims any made regarding special accommodations or handicap accessibility on any program. Learn to Sail Texas reserves the right to decline accepting or retaining any student whose health, attitude or actions, in sole judgment of Learn to Sail Texas, impede the operation of a trip or the safety and welfare or enjoyment of classmates.

Travel Documents

It is the responsibility of each participant to obtain and carry a valid passport, visa(s), and any other documents required by applicable government regulations. Non-US residents may require special travel documents. Check with your local embassy or consulate.

Our website also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address and the page you request for purposes of tracking overall site visitor volume and page views. Learn to Sail Texas may choose to use this information for the following general purposes:

To customize the information you receive from us.
Improve our website, email newsletter and client services.
Create special promotions.
Conduct customer demographics research.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Learn to Sail Texas does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or companies unless we are required to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims or when we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or as otherwise required by law.

Your information will only be used to provide products or services you've requested when we have your permission to contact you according to the following circumstances:

You have registered for a course with us.
You have entered a Learn to Sail Texas sponsored promotion.
You have requested information from us.
A friend has suggested we contact you and you have agreed to opt-in to receive information from us.

Policy Changes

Learn to Sail Texas may update policies from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified by you or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
